Mr. Jelani Watson

OBMG Board Member

Jelani Watson graduated with distinction from SUNY Maritime College in 2014 with a Deck license and Marine Business and Commerce degree. 

As a student Mr. Watson was a recipient of an OBMG scholarship. 

After graduation, Mr. Watson sailed as a Third Mate with Military Sealift Command. After a year of sailing deep sea, Mr. Watson returned home to work in the New York Harbor as a Mate with the Staten Island Ferry. 

Currently, Mr. Watson serves as the OBMG Vice President and is a Tulane Law School J.D. Candidate 2022.

Mr. Watson deeply believes that it is vital to serve those in need in our professional community.
