Mr. Lewis Ferguson

OBMG Board Member

Lewis Ferguson graduated from SUNY Maritime College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Marine Environmental Science and a USCG Third Mate Unlimited License.

Upon graduation Mr. Ferguson sailed for various Tug Boat companies before joining the Staten Island Ferry as a Mate. Mr. Ferguson has been sailing for over 18 years at the Ferry and is currently working as a Port Mate for special Projects for the Ferry. 

Mr. Ferguson is honored to be a part of an organization that has had such an impact on the lives of people in our community and industry. OBMG serves a vitally important purpose in this industry that no other organization can fill.
